Avenger-class Starship (UFP version of Voidance) by technokoopa Avenger-class Starship (UFP version of Voidance) by technokoopa
INFORMATION UPDATED 07/30/2014

This is a remake of the Voidance-class Starship redone as a ship for the United Federation of Planets or Starfleet from Star Trek.

The Avenger is one of the largest ships ever conceived by the Starfleet Corp of Engineers measuring at 1600 meters. They designed a ship large enough and capable enough to take on large targets or multiple small targets. Equipped with multiple arrays and weapons as well as the latest in defensive systems, the Avenger is nothing short of a battleship or dreadnought of the Federation. However, much like other starships, it can also be used to explore deep space and has room aboard for up to 2500 crew members.

As of 2410 there are currently 3 vessels completed of this class with a 4th vessel under constructed. The first ship is the namesake of the class, the U.S.S. Avenger NCC-120025, which serves as the flagship of the Federation (despite that prestige usually reserved for the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-F) and of the 1st Fleet. The commanding officer and flag officer of the fleet is Admiral Burch-Bowser. The Avenger has not seen much combat since the beginning of the Federation-Klingon War as the ship and the fleet it is assigned to have primarily been defending Earth.

The second vessel of the class is the U.S.S. Justice NCC-120032, which serves as the flagship of the Federation’s frontline defense forces. This vessel under the command of Vice Admiral Peterson has seen a few battles under her command and the Klingons have the losses to prove it. The armament of the Justice proved to be more than what the Klingons can handle showing that the new ships are quite effective in combat.

In terms of armament, the Avenger and the Justice are both equipped with the following:

Phaser Lance X 2
Heavy Phaser Beam Array
Phaser Beam Array X 28
Defensive Phaser Turret X 34 (concealed)
Torpedo Tubes X 8 (4 forward, 4 aft)

The third ship that was completed, the U.S.S. Freedom NCC-120039, has a slightly different weapons set as some of the arrays and turrets use both phased polaron and tetryon-phaser hybrid beam arrays for use in disabling enemy ships in order to board them and taking on prisoners, seize equipment, and gather information. The vessel is currently on detached duty (not assigned to a specific fleet) and is under the command Vice Admiral Holley due to his current record.

Its armament consists of the following:
Phased Polaron Lance X 2
Heavy Phased Polaron Beam Array
Phased Polaron Beam Array X 8
Tetryon-Phaser Hybrid Beam Array X 20
Defensive Phaser Turret X 34 (concealed)
Torpedo Tubes X 8 (4 forward, 4 aft)

The fourth vessel that is under construction is the U.S.S. Guardian NCC-120048 and is a joint project by both Starfleet and the newly formed Romulan Republic to add Romulan disruptor and plasma weapons as well as a quantum singularity core to a Starfleet design. Once the ship is completed, both Starfleet personnel as well as Republic officers will be assigned to the vessel as it goes through the Tau Dewa sector on patrol protecting Romulan Republic territory from hostiles. Vice Admiral Jazz has been elected by Starfleet and by the Romulan Republic to put the ship under her command.

Its armament consists of the following:
Plasma Lance X 2
Heavy Disruptor Beam Array
Plasma Beam Array X 8
Disruptor Beam Array X 20
Defensive Disruptor Turret X 34 (concealed)
Torpedo Tubes X 8 (4 forward, 4 aft)

Strong design and great detailing :)

Just out of curiousity, which program did you use to illustrate this ship?

Adobe Illustrator CS. It may be old but obviously is still useful.

I'll say. The lines look so perfectly spaced I thought it was done with a program like Autocad :)
